The editing software we used was sony vegas. it was a very simple software once you had gotten used to it. however because our computers are very old we only have 2 computers in the college which have enough memory to run sony vegas without freezing and messing up. this made it hard as we were editing in a pair but we could only use the computer a specific times. Song vegas had tutorials to show how to edit so it made it much easier.

All 7 questions of my evaluation are done on a prezi presentation however i had alot of problems with the internet connection and the uploading of photos onto prezi so i dont have all the photos i would have like to of had.
Audience feedback.
Just like we hoped the females who watched our film were much more interested in our film than the boys. One of the boys said it could be alright but not really their type of thing but the rest of them said it looked quite girly and not really their kind of thing. We gave the audience a bried overview of what the rest of the film would be about, and when we asked them what t hey thought the genre was 7/9 guessed it was a romcom, this was good as it means we used the usual romcom conventions correctly to present our film. This particular audience was only 16-17 year olds so this group was the right age for the film.
-
'The scenery shot really sets the scene'
'When holly walked into the lampost , it was so funny'
' umm.. i dont really understand why shes running after him.'
'the shots flow really nicely together'
'the opening is funny and i like how you make hastings look;
'not really my kind of film'
We got some positive and negative feedback from this age group but we got the positive feedback from the members of the audience who it was more aimed at.
When getting audience feedback we did a oral discussion and just took down key things they said about our film.
I also showed this film to my an older woman and and older male both of who are late 40's , they both said that it didnt look like their kind of thing and didnt appeal to them.
I showed a young female of 21 the opening aswell and she thought it looked very funny and interesting.
This shows that as we thought it would our film appeals more to a young femal audience than any other.

Music openings of Romcoms
A Cinderella story-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bo0fpyQPlAU
The music for the opening of A Cinderella story is a very soft sounding instrumental piece of music. This is to create the impression on a fairy tale type atmosphere which fits into the narrative of the film.
Music and Lyrics-
Music and lyrics opens with a cheesy 80's pop song. This creates a lively energetic atmosphere and clearly show that the film has some relation to the 80's. It works well for the opening of this film as it sets up the audience for the cheesy feel of a typical romcom.

The camera we used
We filmed our film on a Panasonic HD 14mb Camera. It was a very simple camera a took still shots aswell which was good for the storyboard. We took a tripod along with us when we filmed and attached our own wheels to it but then decided to do most of our shots handheld.
